It's a BOY!

First of all... baby looks GREAT! Measuring 25 weeks 1 day, 1 lb 14 oz, all systems go.

My cervix is long long long so those contractions were doing squat! Great!!! My placenta has moved waaaay up to the top of my uterus which is awesome.

We also now know the gender ;)

Let it be said that my mommy instincts are COMPLETELY off ;)

We will be having a wonderful little BOY! Wow! The tech asked if we wanted to know and there was NO mistaking it. She got about 7 or 8 shots and yep... penis, testicles. boy. BOY! I'm blown away.

Wow. I'm going to have a son. Wow.

I don't advise having pre labour contractions...

Cause they hurt
and they suck
and they make you very scared.

I just got back home after a 24 hour stay on the maternity floor at the hospital. Thursday night I started having tons of braxton hicks... which turned into contractions every 4 minutes lasting about 30 seconds. They took blood and urine and couldn't find an infection. Final diagnosis? Irritable uterus. Reason? 6 orgasms ... really fun but apparently not good if you have an irritable uterus.

So tons of fluids and bed rest over night. It was so sweet to hear all the new babies Our baby is doing fine, hates the doppler though The good news is these contractions were not changing my cervix any... though I do have a u/s on monday to check the length.

My contractions finally slowed to about one an hour and I got sprung from that joint this morning. Memo to self... next time claim you are a vegetarian so they don't try to serve you the mystery meat *shudder*

So scary, but ok.

Active baby!

This little babe is very active today. He/she is kicking the absolute crap out of me... I love it ;) J and I had some very cool, interestin lovin last night and the baby just went wild afterwards! I once heard someone say that every time you have an orgasm while pregnant it's like giving your baby a hug... so J starts going on like "ok mom... enough hugs, time to let go" it was hilarious.

Olivia is still dry. We have mother goose tonight so not sure how that is going to go. I think that I'll just take a couple of extra sets of clothing just in case. I have to take Maddy with us too as daddy has to work. That should be interesting. She likes to be the center of attention and since she's 4.5... and the babies there are between 1-2, it gets a little hairy at times.

I recently had a break up with a friend. She emailed me yesterday. I'm not sure how I feel about that.

Well kids are busy watching Go Diego Go. They like it. I find it extremely fucking annoying.

Nesting and potty learning

Two separate things

I decided to rearrange the girls bedrooms today. I've done O's. Since we're potty learning I've moved the change table out of her room and moved everything around. Collected a big bin of toys to take back downstairs to the rec room (they migrate during the dark of night I tell ya) vacuumed and cleaned. Looks good! Took two hours though... blerg. After a short break I'm off to do M's which is always a challange.

So yah... O is potty learning. She's almost 2 3/4 (the age M learned) so it's time. She's been dry in panties for two whole days! (nights are a completely nother animal) But she's been holding her poop for 3 days. After repeated asking her to poop today she waited until about 15 minutes ago, pooped in her panties and then started to wail about it. I think that might have done the trick She was thoroughly disgusted. I had two in diapers after O was born and I'm in no hurry to repeat that again.

Wish us luck!

Me!

I am so horrible with keeping a blog up to date... maybe this time will be better?

I am a SAHM to two wonderful kidlets. M is 4.5 and a firecracker. She's very high energy and has always been a high needs kiddo. Extremely intelligent, sarcastic and witty. She is going to take the world by storm! She's been in ballet for almost a year now and excelling. She starts kindergarden this year and we'll see how that goes... homeschooling may be where we end up.

O is 2.5 and is a darling, gentle, mellowish soul. She's my current nursling and a snuggle bug supreme. She enjoys colouring with markers ;) She too is extemely bright and faces daily power struggles with her sister. M wants to be the boss, O wants to be the boss. The fight is on ;)

Our third and final installment is due Junish. The 14th apparently. I have a blood clotting disorder so this has been a real fight. Baby is sticking in at almost 24 weeks so we're good to go! We're not sure girl/boy and don't really want to know. Okay... dh J wants to know. I don't want to know. It's my body. Nuff said?

J is the dh in question. We met on the internet in 1998, I moved across the country in 1999 to be with him and then we both moved back to BC about 6 months later. We were married in June 2000, had M in sept 2001 and O in June 2003. He is the love of my life.

Me... I am a La leche League leader and have been for 1.5 years. I am also studying to be a Mother Goose leader. I teach (on a break right now) attachment parenting courses at a local group that supports FASD and low income mom's and sit on various baby oriented boards around town.

I love to read, spend time with hubby, sleep. I sleep a lot right now ;)

So that's me!

First post :)

I have no time to actually set this up right now, but will be back later!
